Most of the time I use the London office of a company called International Air Charter PLC. Some advantages of air charter are: spend less time on chek-in and security, your client does not miss the flight when a meeting takes longer-> the plane will wait, visit 3 to 4 places in one day.
If you charter an airplane think about these things:
- ask what kind of drinks, meals and snacks they will have on board, maybe you have to request something more special. I have brought prepared meals myself several times, because I was not satisfied with the quality
- the charter company wants to get payed immediately, have a credit card(with a high limit ready) for a temporary hold/reservation on it and pay by bank transfer immediately with a payment confirmation by fax to the charter company
- call only one air charter company (in most cases, you don't have to compare prices, because an air charter company puts your itinerary "on the market" and pilots/owners/operators respond)
- if the return flight is not the same day, is there a need for the plane to stay overnight at the airport? (know the answer, ask your client)
- ask the air charter company for available "empty leg" flights (these are discounted rates when an airplane is flying back empty if another client booked a one-way flight)
- jet or prop? (know the answer, ask your client)
- ask the air charter company about the age of the airplane and the state/quality of interior
- when you charter a small unpressurized flight in the warm Caribbean, it may be very cold inside the airplane at great height, bring coats/blankets/sweaters or ask the pilots for preparation
